April 6, 2006 Nicki was born 2lbs 12oz! Wow! We will never forget it....We are so blessed that she is a happy, healthy little girl!!

Nicki's actual Birthday! I went to school with her and she celebrated there too!

We had her birthday party at Jumpy's this year on April 10th! . Everyone had a blast!!!

Nicki & her friends Anna & Sydney went to Carriage Hill Farm and they all rode a pony! She loved it! We will have to go back next year! What fun!

Nicki's 1st day or Pre-School!

Nicki started pre- school! She goes to Kirkmont Presbeterian on Tuesdays & Thursdays 9:10 -9:45. She had a rough first day, & cried most of the time. Now, she is doing great! She loves school and thinks it is fun. Last week she walked right in and did not even say good-bye! The teachers said she has had a complete turn around! Yeah! Way to go Nicki!

Sarah is doing awesome! She starting crawling about at 9 1/2 months and boy have we been in trouble since. She can crawl up stairs and follows Nicki around and gets into Nicki's toys. That is fun.. She is pulling up on everything she can. She loves when you walk her around everywhere and gets upset when you stop. She likes using the walker by herself too! She just started standing alone for up to 2 seconds! She loves pointing at things and having them explained too! She is a very smart cookie.

So I am a little behind. Been very busy. Sarah was Baptised on June 28th. It was very nice. Shortest Baptism I ever went to. Uncle Charly & Jennifer Melke are the Godparents! Thanks to all our family and friends who shared in Sarah's special day!

8 months old!

Sarah is now 8 Months old! She is doing so good! Just got her first tooth two days ago! She loves Mac & Cheese and bread and anything she can gum up! She is on all fours and rocking back and forth and as Nicki says " We are going to be in trouble Mommy". Sarah is also taking baths sitting up and she loves taking a bath with Nicki! Sarah is also saying "Ma Ma & Da Da". For the record she said "Ma Ma" first!!!

We went to a carnival that Aunt Georgia found! What fun! They had pony rides and a petting zoo! What more can I say! They had mini horses and a mini baby horse! How cute! Needless to say, Nicki loved it! She had a blast! Wants to go to another one soon!

Peekaboo Sarah

Where does the time go? Sarah is a little over 7 months. We have been busy. Enjoying the warm weather when it is not raining. Sarah is a little piggy. She loves her her peas the most. She also the sweet potatoes and carrots. She is sitting up much better now and catching herself. She is getting very vocal, especially at night. Sarah loves to watch everything. She loves watching Nicki the most and gives her big sis lots of smiles.

Sarah is doing great! Lots of smiles and lots of laughter! We love it! She loves watching her big sister and laughs at her. Nicki is actually starting to like getting attention from Sarah! She is rolling front to back and back to front, although I have not seen that yet, but I keep finding her in a position I have know clue how she got there. She is almost sitting up. She can hold it for a few seconds and then she falls over. She found her toes! She is grabbing them and everything goes in the mouth! She must be starting to teeth. She is drueling like crazy. She is eating foods too! I am trying my hand at making some baby food. Peas, Carrots, green beans so far. She loves the Peas, not crazy about the green beans though. She likes banana's too. We will try carrots by the end of the week. I can tell she would love to eat more too. She watches us all eat like a hawk! She is also a ham as you can see! Now if we can just get both of them at the same time!

Nicki celebrated Anna's 3rd B-day at the spa!! They both got a manicure and a pedicure!! Oh boy what have we started! They both had so much fun! Nicki got purple nail polish with a little white flower! I think they were the youngest clients the ladies have done. They did not seem to know what to do with them. They sat really good for three year olds! Hey what about me! I need one too!!

Nicki is doing wonderful!! She had a great birthday party with all of her family and friends! She is so blessed to have such great friends! She loves her horses and plays with all of them everyday. She also has been riding her tricycle when the weather permits and is finally starting to like getting attention from Sarah now that she is really alert and watching everything Nicki does. Nicki is starting to become miss independant and she likes to most things by herself! She moved up in her gymnastics class. She now goes by herself! It is cute, she realizes that I am not with her and runs and gives me hugs! Very sweet! Nicki is also doing great potty training too! She has been telling me when she has to go and will go out in public restrooms too! That is an adventure in itself! Nicki will start pre-school in the fall 2x a week!! My girl is growing up so fast!! She only weighs 25lbs 8oz., but hey she has come such a long way from 2 lbs 12oz! We can not complain! What a fighter she is! We are very proud of her!

She gets that from Mommy! We found some pictures of when I was a baby and Sarah looks like me. Nicki thought it was Sarah!

Sarah is 4 months old! She laughed for the first time!!Nicki actually wanted to take a pictures with Sarah!! YEAH!
Sarah was wonderful, she liked taking pictures and was very alert & Happy!

This turned out great, but wow was it hard to get!! Nicki was a little jealous to say the least.

Sarah is 3 months old! Where has these three months gone? Sarah is doing great! She is looking around more and likes to sit in her bouncer seat. She loves to be talked to and is starting to smile!
She is around 10LBS! What a big girl! Nicki has been a sweet heart to her. She covers her up with her blanket and lets me know when she is crying. I knew she would be a great big sister!

2009 is off to a great start! We have been keeping busy. Mostly staying home. It is so COLD. John started traveling to Denver again on and off. He is home now thank goodness. We have 2 very healthy girls for the moment. Sarah got a clean bill of health from the doctor! Hopefully no more blood work! Nicki is still enjoying her gymnastics. She also loves playing with her Belle dolls and playing dress up. She has been wearing dresses almost everyday this past week! We also had our first big snow fall of the season. We got over a foot of snow!

Merry Christmas 2008!

We had a wonderful Christmas! We went to Christmas Mass with Grandpa and Grandma Hottinger and Uncle Charley and then we had a wonderful Christmas dinner with friends.

Santa was very good to Nicki! She really loved her Belle Horse that she got from Santa! She got lots of cool toys from Grandma Lee and Grandpa John and really enjoyed the visit with them. She loves her trampoline and bike! We even got the girls to sit still long enough to take pictures! That is a miracle in itself! Nicki, Sarah & Caitlin are so cute!

Sarah is 2 months old now and is doing great! She is starting to recognize me and looking at things in front of her. She is moving her head back and forth and holding her head up when she is on her stomach! Keep up the good work Sarah!

We also had a wonderful Christmas with the Hottinger clan as well! Nicki loved her Clifford gifts! Nicki had so much fun playing dress up with Mary. They loved being little princesses!

It is hard to believe another year has gone by so quickly. We have so many things to be
thankful for and many new blessings in our lives! We thank God for such wonderful friends and family. Hopefully 2009 will be just as wonderful!

Sarah is One Month Old! Actually she is 6 weeks old today! She is officially born today! She eats, sleeps, and is starting to have more awake time. She loves her food and she likes her swing too! She loves tummy time! She falls right asleep!

Sarah came home on November 6th! She did awesome at the NICU and came home so quick!
We are all adjusting to the new schedules. Nicki is doing great too! She loved getting a present from her little sister. She felt very special. She has had her moments, but for the most part she is being a great big sister! She is very helpful and loving towards Sarah! We are so thankful Sarah is home and doing wonderful! We have such strong and beautiful girls!!!

Sarah is doing great! She stayed at the NICU for 11 days. She was a fast learner and wanted to come home!!

Tom came up for the weekend to see Sarah. Sarah liked Uncle Tom. She gave us lots of smiles. Tom brought Mary up too! Nicki and Mary had such a wonderful time together! They get along great! We learned not to leave those two alone. They are full of mischief.

Sarah Grace Bauer was born on October 27th at 6:07 AM. She weighs 4lbs. 7 oz. and is 41 cm long. She is currently in the NICU at Miami Valley Hospital.

Nicki in her new gymnastics leotard. She helped pick it out! She had to pose with Max and then she was suppose to have her arms all the way up; she did yell her TA DA!!! She loves doing forward rolls all over the house. It is her favorite thing to do in class!

33 weeks Pregnant!!

We have reached another milestone! I am 33 weeks pregnant. I am done taking my hormone shots and I still feel great!! I am a whole month longer than Nicki and that is huge for development!! The baby should be around 4lbs, already twice the size of Nicki! Hopefully the baby comes right around December 8th!! We can only wait and see! It is all in God's hands now!

29 Weeks!!!!

I have reached a milestone in this pregnancy! We are past when Nicki was born!!! I have four more shots of progesterone and then I will be 32 weeks, that will be another big milestone. I feel great so far and this little girl is very active!

Mom & Dad celebrated their 40th on August 9th!! Tom, Diana & the kids came up on Labor day weekend and we did a group family picture! It was a fun weekend!

Everyone is getting so big!! Hannah is in the 4th Grade, Joel in 2nd grade, & Nathan starts all day Kindergarten!!!! Mary & Nicki are still at home with their Mommies!!

We had Georgia's baby shower on July 12th. It was really nice. Georgia received some wonderful gifts and we had a wonderful time. I know Georgia is ready to have that baby. Caitlin will be here soon! Thanks to all those that came!

Building a deck

John decided to build us a deck for Georgia's baby shower! He finished just in time with the help of Rich and Rob! That last weekend made a big difference and in the rain too! Thanks guys. It would have taken him much longer to finish it by himself. Thanks to all those that helped! We really appreciate it! It turned out wonderful!! Nicki loves playing on the deck in her sandbox and she discovered the dog door too. She calls it Nicki's door. What a stinker.

Georgia's baby shower was very nice. Georgia was glowing! We got to see all of Nicki's cousins and Aunt's & Uncle's. She was exhausted that day. NO NAP... She really loved Kristy, Georgia's Best friend. What a kindred spirit. Nicki also tried to play bad mitten with Mommy! What a fun day!

Story Book Land!

We went to New Jersey to visit Grandma & Grandpa and for Georgia's baby shower. We had a jam packed weekend, but it was so much fun! John & I went to the Olympic Trials in Gymnastics and it was amazing.

Nicki & Myself went to Hartville, Ohio to see the Hottinger's!! We had a wonderful time! Grandma & Grandpa Hottinger came too! Hannah had her dance recital and was awesome! Nicki loved playing with all her cousins! Sunday was wonderful. We had a nice surprise and got to see her cousins Baptized!! It was wonderful! I think my parents were on cloud nine!! Nicki loved having someone older to play with. She followed Hannah around everywhere. It was very cute.

Exciting News!! Nicki will be a big sister!!!
I am due in December. That is the goal this time! Hopefully Nicki will warm up to the idea by the time December rolls around. We will test that out with Aunt Georgia's baby in August. We will find out what the baby is in a few weeks so stay posted!!

The newest edition to the Mapely Family! Matthew Samuel Mapely was born on May 8th at 7:35 AM. He weighed in at a whopping 8lbs 10oz! Monika and baby are doing great! He loves his milk and is a good eater. Nicki got to see him on Sunday and was a little scared. When Matthew cried so did Nicki. She was just not sure what to think. She kept saying he was making noise. It was rather cute. Congrats to the Mapely's!! Way to go . He is a cutie! He looks like his Daddy!!

We had a wonderful Mother's day. I was very pampered. I got to sleep in until 10:00am! What a treat that was. Nicki came up and gave me a great big hug and gave me her card that she made with the help of her Aunt Georgia. My Mom and Dad came over too and we had a wonderful steak dinner. So us Moms relaxed and we let the guys do all the work. It was wonderful!

Nicki loves her Daddy. She was so happy to see John when he got home from his trip from Denver. She got good DADDY TIME this weekend!
